Not able to upload photos

When I type and post a reply in a thread, either nothing happens at all or else it times out and I get a 'can't find the server' error. I've taken to copying and pasting everything I type as there's a fair chance it won't post the first (or second, or third...) time I try. I've had the same issue on my iPad as on my Mac.
