Surely 10 minutes AFTER you've posted is enough time to see if it's come out wrong?

This is just me personally but if i'm posting pics on a reply then i tend to read through it all before i press the "Post reply" just to make sure it's ok. And even then i still have 10 mins afterwards to edit any little thing i missed.

There's a time limit on edits? Ahhhhhh that explains it - I thought I was going mad the other day (okay I am but...) when I tried to sort out a typo on a previous post.

                Good to know.

                  Hi Arnold

It's been in place for a while but, the time limit has changed occasionally. But it is now set at ten (10) minutes.

It was originally put in place when we had a user throw his teddies out of the pram and started deleting his posts. He was a very helpful and talented builder but this caused the threads he replied on to become a load of nonsense to try and read as there were vast bits of information missing.

If you go over your allotted 10 minutes then just drop admin or a moderator a pm and we can carry out any edit you need to do (even deleting if possible).

I hate it when people do that - I don't blame you for introducing it!

That's really good to know - Thanks Alan!

I've got used to the 10 minute limit now but when first introduced I found it very frustrating. Mainly because I have issues with my smart ar*ed PC autocorrecting spelling I deliberately miss spell and then there is predictive text!!
You then move on catch up on others build, someone posts on your latest post and you spot the obvious mistake!!! Doh!! By then the 10 minutes has lapsed and the mistake is now permanent.

However, NOW, before hitting the 'post reply' I double check my posting. As long as we now the parameters/rules it should be easy enough to work with.
