Ive messed up my windscreen on my Opel Blitz. Can anyone advise please on how to create the marks left by windscreen wipers. I guess a template of masking tape, then what?

I made my own masks to create this effect on a locomotive but there are etched brass masks on the market, I don't know if they can be adapted for military models but you may get ideas from this website.

Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4. -

Its not the mask I have a problem with, its what I use on the windscreen to make it look dirty.Originally posted by \I made my own masks to create this effect on a locomotive but there are etched brass masks on the market, I don't know if they can be adapted for military models but you may get ideas from this website.

I normally mask off the area before I do the weathering, then just peel the mask off after.Comment

Tamiya fx 52 flat earth spray from a distance and thin a lot I used this on a yanky 2.5 ton truck but I wouldn't use this colour for desert stuff

Have a look at my 1:43 Airfix Land Rover in completed military models (soft skins). This issue is discussed there
