Thanks for the encouraging posts, chaps.
This'll make you all laugh - It did me......
i needed a green colour to first coat the tank. Anything would do. The missus said she had a can of green spray for her flower arranging.
"Why not use that? It needs using up." sez she.
"O.K." sez me.
So earlier today, I took the tank into the garage and for the first (and last) time I use a spray paint on one of my models. Yes I know, I should have tested the stuff first.
Seconds after I sprayed the tank, the thing started to bubble! I stood helplessly for a few seconds in wonderment as my tank started to melt. Then my brain decided to work. In to a container of water went the tank. Quick thinking eh?! This stopped the lava advancement, but the damage was done.
Then the 'Happy Accident' showed itself. I needed a rough and ready bits of rubble etc texture on the body of the tank and what damage was done on the metal surface is spot on for what I require, so my wife's grossly stupid suggestion worked out o.k.
"Hello dear, yes I'm deleting that last sentence, of course I will, just let me down load some pictures first.....Bye dear"
Here are the pictures of the brilliant colour and texture!!
All's well that ends well. Now to paint the 'Proper Green' - With a paint brush of course.....
Cheers all.
