Boatmans showtime phantom in 1/48th scale

Pookey our Russian blue didnt mind a collar at Chrismas with a bell.So we could hear her at Helens parents house.Lottie and Barnaby hate collars.Didnt like lead as kittens.We wanted to walk them up and down stairs near our flat.
HI CHAPS well ive done a bit more on the phantom as cant do much till paints arrive from from my local model shop an i cant do any more till i go to hannants to get my big kits an as my freind paul an his wife now back from their holl we are goin to hannants this friday afternoon as the girls are comin with us as they want to look around the shops in oulton broad while me an paul will be lookin in hannants for my kits an cant order any more leds until i know what kits i will be able to buy so till i get these im stuck but i have been doin some work fittin in a flashin red anti collishin light that is fitted half way up the thin veritical tail now some pics near like all my others that ive done but on this tail its very thin so its goin to be difficult to fit the red 2mm led in place with out goin through the tails plastic so it was a battle of nerves phew
an here the wafer thin tail has been burred out to take led an wires an i had my small dremel set to very slow speed so the burrer dint heat up an melt the tail plastic

an next pic here ive had to cut out a tiny 2mm sqaure to take the 2mm led an ive glued in the wires in place as there is no gap in the tail vetical but both tail sections must meet up ok an just as well i dint get the shakes which happens try 2 hard
TO show i havnted melted the outer tail section

YES Scottie i was a bad bundle of nerves at the start but did a bit of clappin my hands to calm down an it was succses but it can so easyliley go wrong but i havnt yet an i know its a bit nerve wrackin but i love lightin up a kit to bring it to life

HIYA flyjoe cheers for your nice comments an yes love lighting up any model if i can get in the mode to do it as it requires a lot of thought an yes ive always loved a phantom i remember when i see my first real pantom at RAF COTISHALL BATTLE OF BRITAIN AIRSHOW in the early 70's i think an i was mermerised at the fanstatic shape of the plane an i must have stood there for half an hr just reading all the warning signs on it more like reading a book it was an even then i dint read them all an it was bigger than i thought it would be as i live near said base an watched it fly over doin circuts an touchdowns on the day

HI Steven yes ive done 4 other aircraft in 1/48 with lights an they all look good so this one should turn out ok as i love fittin in the lights as it brings the models to life im my opinion as they are a bit smaller so a bit more tedious but fairly easy to do hope you are well sir

HI GUYS well for a start im sorry i havnt posted much on the showtime as my laptop would not let me on this forum for some reason an i had to text Bob to ask him if this foum was down an he has just got back to me to say its fine an ok so i had to refit this in my favs before it would come up an im pleased to say it did an still cant get on on the showtime as ive got my paints now but still waiting for the leds oh dear should be here by march the 17 th then i can get stuck into both the phantoms
