A lamb - wonderful. Certainly very cute. Lambs are starting to make an appearance in the fields around us too.

Thanks Jim yes things are settling down now. I have one more I think will lamb next month sometime.

Been a while since I posted but here’s a few pics for now of the Sheep. They are getting bigger now and doing great.

No their Hair Sheep they shed like a dog. They start getting their winter coat around late September and about now they start to shed their hair. I noticed yesterday their hair is starting to shed.

Here’s some updates over the winter and recently. I was very blessed to have over enough hay for the winter.


The deer was watching me take pics they always come around here and are no afraid. My Daughters cat watches them all the time out her window

Wonderful photos. Great to have an update. Looks very cold. When we lived in Scotland we had deer come down to the garden fence in the winter.
I suppose the left over hay will still be ok to feed to the sheep (or deer ).

The sun was setting on the farm after I got done feeding. The sun sets are beautiful this time of year


I also rearrange my feed cans in the barn this winter. Now I have more room for mixing feed.


My mailman and his son have been clearing off the upper half of my property getting the wood off of it. He sells wood on the side and I needed more open space cleared so this worked out perfect.

Thanks Jim for stopping by and the compliment. It’s alway great as you know when deer pick your place to visit. The leftover hay is still baked and in the barn and as green as it was the day it was baked. So far I’ve used about 30 bales they eat roughly a bale a week unless it’s very cold and snowy then I up to a bale and a half and give them extra grain to make sure they have enough to eat and stay warm overnight

Yes he does he’s a good cat I’m glad my daughter found him and brought him home.

Yes I’m glad I made it through the winter with enough hay and I still have enough for next year. Glad you stopped by

Took these pics the other morning on my walk after I fed the animals. Some deer came out and was looking around.
My Mailman and his son are clearing off the trees on the farm making it more spacious. He makes a living on the side cutting wood. He has at least 2 years of wood to cut off my property.
