Think I may try to bag these, look like they are old tooling, some very old!, But I don't have any of them, and at £7 a set..... why not!

Crikey I wouldn’t call any of those starter sets

They are more likely to traumatise any newbie or returnee to the hobby.

Strange move from Airfix after they made a big point of investing in dedicated starter kits and to keep old kits separate as vintage classics.

Not a lot in there for me but it's brilliant that Lidl just might bring a new generation of modellers to our hobby!

Although, and my experience is quite low, but starter sets with their poor quality paints brush and cement aren't going to inspire many to continue with the hobby,

Yep, 'flogging a dead horse' comes to mind, which is a shame, Airfix has had a renaissance for me recently, wouldn't it be better to introduce noobs with more buildable kits

I agree, I can’t understand why they are doing this after investing so much in new tool, good quality starter kits.

Seems a real retrograde step from Airfix, they might make a few quid from it but I don’t think it will encourage lots of new people into the hobby

I think the YT video mentioned one of the moulds is from the 1950's!!!!
