BOATMANS B58 HUSTLER IN 148th scale with lights

Beating it into shape chris , i seem to remember mine put up a bit of a fight too , not surprising really when you look at the size of the pieces , theres plenty of chance for them to warp a little .

:ROFLMAO: It's universal Chris. "Be careful", "Watch out", "Stop getting worked up". These comments flow freely when one is already trying to do those things.

HI GUYS
Well it looks like im gonna be sanding down quite a bit as this kit is a terrible fit an parts have warped over the yrs firstly the front fusealarge has a terrible ridge on it side where the two parts of the fusalarge jion up an then then more sanding where the front fusalarge jions to the main fusalarge an then at the tail end where the tail section meets the main fusealarge i think i will have to use my mini dremel an sanding disk on these do i will be here forever hand sanding oh dear some pic for you all as i like to show the bad side of modeling as well as the good so this is goin to be a heck of a challenge
firstly the front fusalarge ridge

AN she is a tail sitter but i fitted some parts of lead in her nose but its just not enough so ive just glued some more lead in her big inner engines so im sure this will cure her of tail sitting an looks a bit rough but its inside the engines so wont be seenIMG_1880.webp

HI ALL WELL the hustler is comin on an now begining to look good after all that sanding down phew an a pic for you all of what she looks like now after a lot of work on her View attachment 1290648
At a little distance, it looks pretty good. I curse my digital camera sometimes at how much detail is invisible to the Mk.V eyeball

And this is such a slab. you'd probably need a lead brick in the nose not to have her sit up and beg. Nice idea to weight the engines though

HI Steve so you are useing a Mk,V eyeball so you had 4 before then lol
an yes she is pretty big as you say a slab but im pretty sure that the lead im fuitting in will stop her tail sitting as it a big tail seckion well i could not fit anymore lead in the nose as its full of F/O so the only way to go was lead in the big engines as the inner ones are near up to the cockpit so should do the job cheers sir for your reply
