Imps were built not far from me in linwood at prest steel. Only part of the factory remains and is offices. However the railway bridge into Linwood you can still make out the original Talbot sign on it

You know your cars girl. 😂

I remember being behind the wheel of one of these when I was a nipper. I was on my dads best freinds knee and just steering. What an enormous steering wheel it had.

Great memories

And at the same time we had the Hillman avenger and not that long after that Talbot / Chrysler bought them out and we got the Chrysler avanger .... the horizon, sunbeam and ....... din din din ........ the simca all sold under the same marque.

My pals dad was a foreman mechanic at Ross Chrysler Dodge in Edinburgh.

Jesus .... a trip down memory lane.

Great days

Rust was the enemy of every car at that point ..... think Vauxhall Viva ..... 😂

Something different of the day was a Chyrsler Matra Rancho .... possibly a little ahead of its time in terms of styling.

Still rusted though.
