Nice ride out today to Ellesmere model show. I picked up a few kits and even won the the Norton Manx 500 on the tombola not bad for £2. Great day out I'll be going again next year. View attachment 288556 View attachment 288553 View attachment 288554 View attachment 288555 F
I know. My cats are terrible modellers too and they have no eye for detail at all, and let's not get started with their painting skills...
Very nice He 219 John!!!!
I've been looking at buying a Horten Ho IX (229) in 1/32 scale (amongst a few) to join my growing lineup build of wunderwaffen and other "could've been" 1945-1946 contraptions but the price for a Zoukei Mura Horten Ho is a bit steep... Is the price for such a Zoukei Mura kit worth the money or is it just the Horten Ho that's that expensive? (compared to other Zoukei Mura kits?)
I want my planes to be in 1/32 scale to roughly match all of my 1/35 tanks and figures.
If only there was a standard in scales and not separate for planes, AFV's, trains, ships, figures etc etc... I'm sure every modeller has asked that question at least once in their lifetime.![]()
I think it is worth it for what you get in box. In my opinion, the detail provided is superior to Tamiya's 1/32 lineup, which is a big call, but the moulding of detail is superb. By the way, the Uhu is the most expensive, more than the horten (from where I got it). The horten is great and can turn out a brilliant model, but it is still not a model for first time experiences in 1/32. I would recommend trying out the trumpeter 109 series, and if you are doing late war stuff, they have a K-4 variant. They go together great. And Tamiya Spitfires are really good, as they fit great (except for the magnetic cowlings). Just amass some experience in 1/32, before tackling a really big kit, as you are paying a lot for a single kit, and you wouldn't want to make mistakes on that. Alternatively, buy a ZM 1/48 horten first, to get a taste for the engineering of the kit, then move onto the harder 1/32 version. But by all means, get one, and stick it in the stash. I simply recommend having a few other 1/32 aircraft done for experience.Very nice He 219 John!!!!

The Stalwart is for the wheeled truck GB next year. It looks a nicely detailed kit for 1/72.

I saw a few in the early eighths just before they pulled them out of service,I remember seeing a Stalwart for the first time in Osnabruck back in the seventies, I could only have been 5 or 6 and had never seen anything like it.
