What are you using to coat the wire? I used cheap polly filler from the pound shop on mine but it tends to real off a bit when moved so I've just bought some Vallejo earth texture paint, should work better. You won't mess up the paint job. Paint it a dark brown, dry brush a few lighter browns and greys. Maybe even add a bit of green for a moss effect

Well on the last tree i did for my jeep diorama I covered it with milliput which worked really well. Also gives a chance to add some texture. Hopefully it goes as well as my 1st tree.

Coated my wire frame with cheap plaster mixed into a sloppy paste with diluted pva. I then painted it on with an old paint brush. Cant wait to get around to painting.
