Yes Sir that's what i'm saying Pete. If the manufactures prices me right out of the hobby i'll have to drop out of the hobby because I don't think I could do that level of building that you and others can accomplish :surprised:

Thanks again Tony,I hope you can stay around as you can see I buy the cheap end of th market Emhar (which some people have put in the bin)and try/hope to upgrade/improve them by a lot of scratch building I also would like to reach the levels they do, I have been told on many occasions it not about the finish but about the fun, that how I stay in hobby to be honest.

Hi a very small up date got all the stowage painted for the top of the tank.

Now waiting on parts to come.

Hi very very small up date.
Got the base coat on the extra ditching beam, wooden crates and barrels and for the sledge all stil need to be weathered .

Hi got a bit of work done today.
Made the towing mule .



Made roll & tarpaulin even put the hem & stitching in from pewter (my first go at it).



Made some petrol cans from plasticard.
Cut to length and rounded off the corners.

Tops & bottoms to the cans with rounded off corners.


Added handles and spout.


Added primer coat.


Plus a few more bits some are actually finished :smiling3:.

How do you make it look so real? Amazing.
Cheers Peter I'm pleased you like it but there is still room for inprovement and the rest is all done with mirrors sir and dodgy photography :smiling:
