great work Jim,do real like the darkness to his one, always enjoy seeing your work, well done,
cnnot add to whats been said,;)
Thank you Monica, so glad you like it.
I know it's a disturbing episode in ww2, to think that the allies sat back at the Elbe River and allowed the Soviet monsters to almost utterly destroy a great city, to have pushed back east millions of defenseless refugees trying to escape the murderous onslaught at gunpoint because we "didn't know if we could feed them" no...better to let them be doomed to
the cruelest destruction.
Take a breath Jim:oops:

Hi Jim,
That's a cracking diorama, plenty of eye catching details, how big is the base ?
regards Jim

Hi Jim
Very well done. Full of detail, great composition and it tells the story. The building and ground work really says "destruction".
Jim

Great work Jim also love all the buildings did not know it was yours but thought it had your hallmarks then saw the poor sod with half his leg missing then I new it was yours:smiling3:.

Thanks Barry, old one legged Fritz got short shrift in the photo dept. (blurry) maybe I'll just re shoot him and plug him in
I think he deserves it.

Jim

Your monochromatic style is unmistakable. Awesome result. I keep going back to the structures & rubble. Top work. PaulE

Being an American I have not the foggiest, just copied some stuff from old WW2 pics and reproduced them with a white paint pen.
Maybe they were local call signs or something of that sort.

They were faithfully reproduced so they must mean something I would think...no?
Jim:thinking:

WOW... that is a fantastic diorama... the atmosphere is really something... you can "feel" the sadness and the horror of the german troops...
very very well done

Well done, apart from the T34 commander wearing a post war US helmet

I looked on the internet. These are Czechoslovak inscriptions on t-34. They were used if the Czechoslovak Brigade
