1/35 scale in plastic and with some dubious exterior plastering in local ""stuff""

Shouldn't detract from the serious subject of Stugs and the many multiple and wonderful variations.

Especially the new kits on the block, which seem so tempting!

Steve, i assume you mean 1/72, new Stugs

Its gone very slow on the 1/35 front. Newest one is the 0. I think with Dragon cornering the Stug market, apart from the B other makers will proberly leave alone.

Nothing, not a fan of kits where you have to build up the hull tub. Much prefer the Tammy and Dragon kits with a hull tub all ready.

Will put them both on ebay soon

Afternoon

Been spending ages trying to find a way to fit electrical conduit and cable to the lights, tried hollow 0.30mm tubing however had nightmares trying to bend it and every time it snapped. Others have used just copper wire but checking my small collection of Stug books (honest) you can see the conduit and the separate wiring. so got out of my comfort zone and had a go at it!!

While on YT found a guy showing how to wire up a model Spitfire engine, when he got to replicating fluid hoses he got my attention. He used 'Hareline midge' hollow tubing used in fly fishing.

So got some, 0.3mm, then it took ages to put the 0.20mm wiring in to it but that gave it some strength and easier to bend and shape, use CA and a small PE clamp

Not the best photos sorry, but above you can see the separate 0.20 mm wire going into the back of the lamp. Made three before this, too short, to long and cut badly so another try.

Not perfect but I am pleased and the next one should be a bit easier, but no doubt something will go wrong lol

You should be pleased Bob, trying to thread that must have been hard, assume you threaded it through first then did the bending. Looks very neat indeed.

Odd that dragon didn’t notice it needed a wiring conduit running to the light...especially being a relatively up to date kit.

Looked for it on Evil Bay, but apart from overseas sellers only one here and they had 1 mm Bob ,could you send me the link please .
