Started another figure

Found this online a few months ago and decided I had to give it a go

Bit of an odd one really - billed as a Seal Support Team called Kerry and Aaron.

Sounds ok doesn't it - Kerry is a sort of Lara Croftesque looking lass, still ok, but then you find that Aaron is a kind of evil looking rabbit being carried in her rucksack. He is holding the spare rounds for her RPG-7

Weird

parts - all nicely cast in grey resin and contained in clippy bags

the usual casting blocks to remove and some fine mould lines to clean off the larger parts

basic body parts assembled

fit of parts is pretty good but it is still going to take some careful filling and sanding to eliminate the joints

the rabbit has had his head fitted

Oh my word, that rabbit! Looks like a very nice kit Simon. Larger scale should be easier to paint as well.

Morning Peter

I hadn’t even realised there was a wascally wabbit until I got the kit

Very creepy looking

Not sure about larger being easier - just more to go wrong :smiling5:

Steve - yes she has :smiling5:

Ian - certainly is

Steve - just hope I can do it justice with my dodgy painting

Not much to report

just gave creepy rabbit some ears

I did hollow them out with a chisel to make them more ear like - going to need a bit of work blending in the joins

Coming along nicely Simon.

Curious joins - half way up the psycho rabbit's ears for example. Must be a bit of a pain.

Makes it easier to cast Peter but it will be a bit more work to get rid of the joins

Hi Simon
Strange stuff produced these days. There must be a reason for a rabbit in a rucksac. Looks very well cast and modelled.

Hi Jim - castings and sculpting are nice
No idea why there is a rabbit though

Well, I made a start on psycho rabbits right ear and his head fell off, closely followed by said right ear!

CA'd back together so will see how it goes tomorrow later today - only small contact points so may fall apart again

If it does I shall have to drill and pin to give the joints some extra support

Frankenrabbit! maybe put a couple bolts in his neck while you're at it Mr. T...lol
:smiling3: Rick H.

Well I never, fancy you building figures again Simon, are you suffering from some unknown disease that man has no knowledge of :smiling2:

John - GBitis, it flares up every now and then. The other week I had a really bad attack and put my name down for Alans night fighter planes, sheer madness as I don't do planes

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, I did actually make quite a lot of figures - when Verlinden started his 120mm range I bought most of them as they were released.

ear fell off psycho wabbit again so I drilled it and his noggin and inserted a 5mm length of brass 0.4mm wire

Finger crossed that will keep it in place and allow me to tidy up the join and blend it in with the rest of his head

Mr. T will excell, even as he is ravaged by this horrible affliction of GBitis! JR, you above all people should know this having overcome the Koumomoomo paper palace build without igniting it to oblivion!! By the way, did you learn to do the dance? Cheers, Rick H.
