Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2019)

Morning All,

Before everybody wakes up and gets ready for work, I will post my ill gotten gains from the SMC show. Fernando and I had a fantastic time and helped keep a lot of people in business. So without further ado, the buy of the show for €25,

IMG_1883.JPG

3 sheets of dry transfer German tactical signs. The etch set in the top middle is for the 8 ton German halftrack and is the tool boxes for the rear complete with tools. The plastic bag on the bottom right is full of resin ammo storage boxes and the like. The Tiger I motor kit is missing a couple of pieces of resin, but no big deal really. The next great buy for €45 from another old kit seller,

The Ironside kit is 100% complete as are the 3 resin figures. The Royal Model fig is still sealed in plastic. Resin wheels for a late Opel Blitz, laser cut window frames with shutters, a whole pack of posters and maps from Verlinden and when was the last time you saw Bare Metal Foil??? A few things I did buy from sellers,

Have to keep Giuseppe from Friul in business, some masking tape for my Storch build for the GB, a seatbelt kit for it too, a good steel ruler for scratchy stuff, resin wheels for my WOT Ford from ICM and a nice Brach Model kit to upset Stevie a little!!! References are always nice to have too,

All in English except the Pz. IV book which is in French, but has great pictures and color profiles. Finally, the best of the rest,

Killer book and what a reference to boot. I will hopefully get Volker to autograph it for me here in the near future...

It's back to eating Hamburger Helper without the hamburger for the next few months....................................

PS, it's all Fernando's fault really........

thats what you call 'spending frenzy'

must admit i do it too when i go to a show, very satisfying

So true Paul,

I go to 2 shows a year, 1 nearby and only spend a little. The SMC is the other and it's so huge, you can't resist!!!

Oh, I totally forgot what I won for the 6 raffle tickets for €10 I bought on Sunday. (I was trying to win the Tamiya 1/48 B-52 for Fernando)

The Custom Scale conversion kit with rocket and the D-Day figure. The can of beer I got when I bought the seatbelt kit for my GB Storch....

Isn't that the same trailer they used for V2s? Great haul BTW. PaulE

Yes it is Paul. It's a modified Meillerwagen with modified rails to mount the Rheinbote AA rocket on. It was known as the "Fernschussgerät RH 61-9 auf Meillerwagen". The kit is resin,

You get the rails with mods and the Rheinbote rocket with all those fins to glue on. Hope all is well in downtown Ohio and you are doing good...…...

These arrived today,

A Kübelwagen and some blue paint, both for my Trop-Bf109 in progress.

And new seals to fix my airbrush, these are PTFE instead of the original rubber ones, fingers crossed.

The "Starterkit 50 hours of extra spare time" I ordered was not included unfortunately.

Kind regards,
Steven

Hi all

I came across this set which is perfect for a project I am collecting stuff for - a Huey duo. No idea when I will start it but at least now I have all of the kits for it.

A small premium bond win was used as an excuse to make bids on eBay and fill the loft even more :smiling5:

That is some haul of goodies. Should keep you out of mischief for a month or two. You're both on bread and water for a while.
Looking forward to your builds.

Ho Ho Ho, Right Bro!!! Uh, Uh, Yea, I only got a quarter of the show really!!! But, "No Kits, No Kits, No Kits", just a box with parts in it, like your Orion or was it the Catalina??? I didn't see Your AFV EOD robot. Was it from the vintage corner???

That Canberra kit looks really nice too!!!

Hope to take pics in the morn to post. Got home at 1500 and was pretty beat. Oh and you forgot to remind me about the Luftwaffe colors for my Storch. I guess we were having too much spending money fun and we both forgot!!! Damn Alzheimers...…….

Prost
Allen
Hi mate, yes the EOD robot was from the same guy I bought the P3 from.
Think he said 2.50 when adding everything up:smiling:.

I'll be at the Esm show later in november, so I can look for your Storch paints if you'd like.

An early delivery from postie - ebay purchases.................

Thanks my Friend, I figured you got it in the vintage corner. As far as the paints, thanks for the offer, but my friend Thorsten is going to hook me up with the colors I need. He also wants to go to the World Model Expo next year really bad………….

Jim

Yes Jim, but Fernando bought all the kits!!! I bought 1 box full of parts and the rest are Accessoires and references. I no longer buy kits Sir.....

Allen THAT is really some kits... you will have quite a lot do the following months..

Hi Greg, Thanks buddy, but again it's a case of mistaken identity Sir!!! I bought only one box of parts like I wrote Jim above. I am on a diet, "No Kits, No Kits, No Kits"!!! Just parts…….

Speaking of parts, this was in the bag of resin ammo boxes in the €25 lot,

IMG_1895.JPG

The 12 cases on the bottom left are cast with 3 empty, 4 with rounds and 5 closed. I just don't know what the pieces on the right are used for. The ones with 6 holes and the others with 8 holes. Any ideas???
