Afternoon

Due to my up then down health issues i did not get round to having a first go at modulation, Steve Jones kindly passed on some great advice but do you drop the air pressure through the airbrush???

I have sprayed a old hetzer in panzer grey to use as a test vehicle

Thanks bob

Hey Bob, personally I do (that is to say I turn down the MAC valve a little) but that is really because I will be spraying a bit closer than usual.

Edited to add: Saying that, if I was spraying a mono colour (like a grey Stug ;)) I would probably black base, then mottle the first few layers of grey to produce the modulation, before finishing with a final coat of grey.

Cheers,

B

Hi Bob, thanks for that.

Thats what i thought, i normally spray about 18 to 20 psi so will drop down to 15 and see what goes wrong lol

No worries, I've just edited my first post to add some more info. :)

Bet it took hours to work out what it was Bob:upside:

Thanks yet again!!

Great help and advice there for you Bob. Yes I do drop the pressure and I also use the 2mm needle airbrush up close and personal to the model.
