Si B’s 1/35 Zvezda T34-76 Mod 1943 Uralmash

Well I missed all this :smiling5:

Maybe we should design a StuG-34, hybrid of the two! :smiling5:

Moving swiftly on......a rather hectic week at work, so was glad to relax and spend some time at the bench making stuff dirty.

The tracks and running gear where weathered with a combination of acrylic mud stuff, enamel products and pigment.

Very close to being done now, wand to add a few subtle scratches and some dirt to the upper parts.
thanks for looking, all comments welcome.

Apologies Si for butting in on this brilliant build. :smiling3::upside:
Thank you Mr R, no need to apologise, we like a Bit of banter :smiling4:

Great weathering my friend. Tracks have come out really well. Will you be rusting up the exhausts?
Thanks very much mate, it was all a bit trial and error with the track muck.
Yes, there will be some subtle weathering of the tailpipes and surrounding area ....but no flipping camo schemes, before you ask :smiling5::smiling5: lmao.

It’s essentially a StuG clone using the gun and mantlet from a T-34, so about as close to a StuG-34 as you can get while sticking to real-world vehicles, I think :)

Great work as always Si. What acrylic mud stuff do you use? Been thinking about getting some point. Heard good things about Wilder's Textured Earth.

Sorry, deffo a Pz 111 not StuG, it has the brake vents only ever seen on the StuG A ( 2 ), the picture also shows the shot defector in front of the drivers visor, this was not fitted on the A 2, but on every other StuG, also missing the 20 mm screwed on armour on the front plate. So not a A 2.

Cheers Andrew :thumb2:

The Acrylic mud I’ve used here was this stuff from Vallejo....

I mixed some of this with a pinch of saw dust and a pinch of different length static grass to add extra texture and a little water to make it easier to apply.
Once it has dried you can dust wiith pigments or paints/ washes etc to break up the colour as I’ve done.

Oh Bob,
Never be ashamed of knowing your subject intimately mate :nerd:
Shame on Jakko making the comparison :smiling5:

Hi Si

Great weathering on the tracks. I think adding a bit of static grass is a nice touch. The end of this excellent build is in sight

Si, that is looking good, the weathering is nicely done.
How about this to keep both Bob & John R happy?
