Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2021)

Looks like sheets of leaves for dioramas, going by what’s visible in the oval window (?) in the packaging.

For me, the DHL man dropped off a package containing the kit that I need the Sherman deep-wading gear for:

Also a set of tracks for it, plus the SKP A30 Challenger because I noticed this pretty rare kit was in stock at the shop where I ordered it, and a metal barrel for the Chi-Nu I bought recently, mostly because for €3.75, why not?
Cracking kit there Jakko :thumb2: .......
..... BUT.... 3.75 for that metal Barrel??!!!:dizzy:,Now THAT Sir is a REAL bargain!!
Andy

For those of you who would like to see the paper cutouts I had from Mike.

No Rick they wouldn't :smiling3: .Just have to find the right moment to use them.
Certainly won't survive JR's obsession with flames :smiling3:

:nerd::smiling3: The Burning Bush !

One more and then I’m done buying stuff for the foreseeable future:

The Chi-He tracks are for the Chi-Nu that I got a barrel for yesterday, the AMX ones for a Takom AMX-13 I bought years ago to build as a Royal Netherlands Army one, but which comes with the wrong type. Since I was ordering tracks for the Chi-Nu, I thought I might as well add these. I’ve never used metal tracks before, but they’re about the only viable option for either, so I kind of have to give them a go :)

These are periscope covers for Shermans, of an uncommon style that most kits don’t include but which I needed for accuracy. A friend of mine bought a 3D resin printer a while back, and after making my own covers from plastic strip proved to be far more difficult than expected, I asked him to make me some. He dropped them off yesterday evening, so I’ll finally be able to finish the Walcheren Sherman I’ve had on hold for too long now. (For an idea of the size: the tile they’re on is 50 mm on a side.)

Your always welcome Moni .How's things with you?
John .
we just come out of a mth lockdown again so very slow real have not been anywhere,
and just a pain in the butt ar=t home whit foe me unwelcome guess,
but doing ok just hard to get back into bench time, hope your doing well

Picked up this very rare item on evilbay. Decades old resin kit of very high quality. Very little cleanup & excellent fit so far. Always wanted another makers' LVT4 for my Rhine crossing dio.

I can’t read the instructions in the photo, but does it come with two different cab roof/front pieces? Because the one you can see in the box is too late a style for LVT (4)s in Europe, AFAIK, but the instructions also show the earlier type without a machine gun, that would be correct.

Post room today received this.
Now looking fwd to reading, should be a good reference for dios .

Another floaty thing, launched by postie ( late delivery! )

A really oddball scale! - more like the Revell fit-the-box era.
Seen this at high prices, but I was happy to give just over £11 delivered!. There is another version of the Batory, as an attack Troopship, but that's not very common
