I have a diecast mK1 spitfire @1/24th scale (I think) that I bought years ago.
the engine cowlings and gun covers are removable, which meant that over the years they have disappeared through my grandchildren's sticky fingers :flushed:
just wondering if you guys might have some ideas on fixing this.

You could try to replace them with aluminium sheet, a roll of thin should do the trick and can be obtained from Azon or on evilbay. And is easy to work with.

What about a foil takeaway food container, or would that be too thin?
How about a photo Bob.

Yes, probably too thin Peter, needs to be about 1mm thick. thanks anyway.

When time, I'll search around for Mike's suggestion of a roll or sheet

I'll get a photo up as soon as I can. :thumb2:

Maybe used a piece of a used tin can from baked beans etc? Cut to shape and will hold it once bent.

I have some pewter sheet of about 1mm that may suffice somewhere in the chaos of my cave, if so give me a heads-up so that I can alert International Rescue to come to assist me in locating it!

Once again you've come to my rescue
Let me know the cost/postage etc, please?
And I'll PM you my address. :thumb2:

I wish I had room for a cave :smiling2:
