Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2023)

TBH, I never knew there was a film!! Guess I'll have to keep my peepers open for that. I've only ever watched the mini-series, (once or thrice).
The movie is the same as the miniseries, but a shorter cut to fit into two and a half hours rather than five hours as the series does.

Neede some paint for my Corsair and the Wildcat looked like it needed good home :tears-of-joy:

I had another splurge at the shop.

Yet more paints, a restock on some essentials, and a couple of new products to try including AK's airbrush cleaner.

And a little something extra for my current diorama build

Totally agree. I watch the cruel sea and in which we serve at least once a year…..
Everyones favourite pipe onboard, "Do you here there, tonights movie will start in 15 minutes... Debbie does Dallas!" Lol... The Cruel Sea it is then! 'Snorkers good o'!"

Last couple of orders, there was some pipettes and sanding sticks also, been ordering loads of paints for various builds lately ive completely lost track of whats for what and what i got ! So to all those who do spreadsheets and lists for paint i will now stop chuckling to myself and admit that MAYBE...its a good idea! :rolling: :tears-of-joy: 20230511_174738.jpg

SCORE!! This just got dropped off.....thought I'd seen the last of the type 40's....added bonus is the "Baby" Blitz And then a couple of Preiser kits just to make it interesting.P1012689.JPG

Don't mention 'Snorkers'. Skipper put the ship to Action Stations at Silly O Clock in the morning all over being served snorkers for brekkie!!!!!
Guess who was ripped apart at Sods Opera!!!!

This stuff seems to be in short supply again, even the shop has been out for a while, so I searched for the smallest independent that had some in stock. Got to support the little guy!

They wrote a lovely note (company name erased out of respect for John).

I do love his stuff but I was using this primer long before his videos became popular. It's on just about all the models I've ever built :smiling4:

Talking of him I noticed in his latest video that he's put a nut in the hull to support it. I wonder if he got the idea from Simon too :smiling5:

I rate the Ak paints also. It's a while ago now but I think Dave Ward & I were some of the first using them on here shortly after their release. I think we both did topics testing them way back. They wouldn't be my first choice for airbrushing but I've had very good results that way, and they are lovely for regular brushing.

Picked up this ROCO pair for the trailer to use with my Kniga Autocar U-8144T. I'll use it for a Baily loadout instead of the ponton.

Ok..... So I have been weak at the show...

My only justification on the first purchase is that I have been promising myself that I would do a 1/35 Firefly at some point. There is a trade stand very close to us..... And he had this..... Now the most expensive kit I own....but at least 10% than cheaper anywhere and of course no P&P.

The masks are from the same stand...a small one lady company... formed in COVID...does a massive range of bespoke masks using the same kabuki tape as Tamiya. I have 3 Tiffies in the stash, so these will come in very handy!

ATB.

The figure set on the left is the Italeri Elco PT Boat Crew , for £3 - BARGAIN!
I've decide to dump the Vallejo primer and try the AK as it's so well-loved on this forum.
And the Red Knight was a fiver and will be great for my grandson who's 10 and just getting into model kits.
