So Pete I'm better off getting the hobbyboss?

Looks that way to me Brian; if I'm reading Scalemates correctly it's the same kit, with some new parts, for half the price.

No brainer then :) cheers mate :)

If you check out both kits on the Scalemates site, you will be able to download the instructions and see what you are getting, and even get a sprue look.

Sorry mate yeah mk1 ,dont know where i got mk2 from, i bought mine from hannants, if i remember rightly i bought aber gun barrels as the mk1 dosnt have them, the 'deluxe' set comes with them i think and a mast set also. I can post you some pics of exactly what it comes with when i get home later if thats of any help to you.

So you got a wooden deck,15 photoetch frets and 6 bags of bits1000002928.jpg1000002929.jpg1000002934.jpg1000002932.jpg1000002933.jpg1000002930.jpg1000002931.jpg

The model does come with some railings, stairs and a few other bits so youll have a choice of whats the better to use. These are the barrels are i bought.1000002935.jpg

looking at what seem to be the signal flags, it occurs to me that the Japanese signallers must have had to learn the western alphabet before they started- same with Morse code I assume?
