This is a 1/72 Italeri Half Track with Mortar Gun from the Hasegawa kit. I added some parts to convert the Italeri into this this Half Track. Enjoy the pics

Good idea for a conversion to update the model, but I feel the need to point out that the body is too long: the M4 was based on the Half-track Car M2, while the Italeri kit is of a Half-track Personnel Carrier M3, which was about 25 cm longer, or 3.5 mm in 1/72 scale. You also seem to be using the fuel tanks (which are of the type used in the 75-mm Gun Motor Carriage M3 and 81-mm Mortar Carrier M21 half-tracks) as the front lockers.

Yes Jakko was very right so that’s why I’m rebuilding this.

The other night as I was looking at some builds that haven’t been finished I came across this one. As I stated above Jakko was right about this build I was way off the mark on this so I’ll be doing a different version it will be the M-21. I got a few things done this evening. I dismantled the parts of the model that I’ll be redoing and replacing the front bumper also. I found some parts I’ll need in my parts box.
Cut the center piece from the Hasegawa kitSanded it to fit this is where I’m finding out the Tamiya Extra Thin is a lifesaver after test fitting.I removed the Italeri molded in Jerry Cans and I’m replacing them with I think are some old ESCI ones. That’s all for now

This morning I worked the Bumper I added super glue in the cracks where I joined it together then sprinkled Baking soda over it. I then sand carefully and mounted it the chassis. I cleaned the Jerry Cans up and added them to the sides. I’ll be adding the winch on the bumper next. I used one of my old bumper first in case I failed at shorting it. Now that I know what to do I can make another out of the spare one

Thanks for the complement Paul I appreciate it. I didn’t thing they would but seems there working great. Just found some more improvements today I’ll be adding to it. I’ll post it when it arrives.
