I have always been interested in history, Inc battleships. So before returning to modelling I already had a large library of books, 5 bookcases! Covering the waffen ss, armour and battleships.

It got to the point when I was bored with StuG's. I could build one without the plans etc. So I thought let's change course ( good pun ) .

Just given the bum two coats of paint. However not convinced this is the right red! Always thought the hull red was a bit brighter???

Masked just below the hull paint line, so on both sides there's a strip ready for the boot topping. Will need a steady hand to mask!

However made the mistake of fitting the rear propeller guards first, knocked one off plus awkward to mask. Did the same on the Fletcher.

Happy with the result.

Not sure wether to varnish the hull next?

Also primed the decks, then top coat prior to fitting. Trying out new building ideas, a dangerous plan lol

Nearly done but pe approaching Inc railings so dug out KGV for a lot of pe practice and brush painting Mr Color. Bought some retarder to give it a go!

LOOKIN GOOD Bob matey as Steve said love the cameo but please give up practining as you are a good moddeler Bob mate so dont keep shootin your self down an get stuck in to a good build an hopefully it will help you forget all the horrible months you have just been through
