Found this randomly and said I would start build it. A small build between builds. Will go nicely with my revell united states. It took three attempts to do the bow section on my flashforge.
Very fine work it is too. The paintwork is very difficult to do indeed so dont knock yourself. I have started to redesign the kingposts alright to add more detail to them and created steam winches for it too. Working on the anchors ATM as well to get the right scale as she had four of them. Live your work though. America in my view was the most underated and most successful ship of the united states lines. That's looking Fantastic!! I made the CAD model earlier this year and printed a couple of examples, but couldn't get good painting results like this. Nice work!
Hey Chris, thank you. Ironically this is a follow up of my as united states....lol. I did a water scene for that one. Ships in general I love. I love the shapes of the battleships alright. Its funny because Gibbs who designed both liners incorporated a lot of warship design into these ships. He also used a lot of queues from the liberty ships and was heavily influenced by British battleship design.yes some very fine work on that ship as ive never built a liner as im into big warships but each to his own very well done sir looking forward to the
US-STATES an i will follow you on your builds brilliant work
