Great choice. Rumour has it that Toyotas head poncho loved the preproduction car but asked for loads of carbon fibre panels to be used which cost millions and delayed the launch.- Stefee

1/12 1966 Ford GT 40
Slowly started assembling. Interior basically finished and fitted front and rear suspension systems which actually work, steering which also turns from the steering wheel and brake components. All comments welcome.- Stefee

1/12 1966 Ford GT 40
Eventually applied the cleacoat, seems to have disguised the rough decals and hand painted stripes. There's a few dirt inclusions but inclined to leave them as its a race not a show car. Some piccies with the panels loosely fitted. 5 days to fully cured then assembly can begin. 😀- Stefee

Liking the colour you've chosen. This is the only car I've worked on, including Rolls Royce and Bentley, where the completely hidden seat frames are powder coated and not just left bare steel or crudely painted. Got alot of respect for this marque.- Stefee

I know nowt about aircraft but that build is extremely nice. Is there any scientific/ aerodynamic/ performance/ manouevrability reason why the fuselage rear of the cockpit is so short in comparison to the engine cowling?- Stefee

No problem, something else I remembered is that there is no spare wheel in the Trumpeter and it's clone kits. Also there is a superb detail set by KA in South Korea but it costs around £200 delivered.- Stefee

Hi there, right here goes. Meng do 2 versions of the kit, one is repainted the other bare plastic. They are both very close to being a snap/ screw together kit with lots of screwed together parts. They also have very poor representation of the braided hoses and, according to more knowledgeable...- Stefee
