Slowly taming it Joe, great work 👍 Geoff.

    Tamiya GB...Rules and chat thread

This will possibly be my entry. I’ve got a couple of nice Quickboost resin seats to jazz up the cockpit and would finish it as the photo reconnaissance aircraft included with the options. Or this, also with a nice replacement resin seat and some brass gun barrels. I just can’t decide 🤔 Geoff.

    Newbie

Some cracking builds there mate 🤩 Welcome to the forum 👍 Geoff.

    Pete's Vulcan

Coming on nicely Pete 👍 Cockpit looks good, I had a look in the real thing while visiting the Vulcan based at Doncaster airport. It seemed extremely cramped, surprising for such a large aircraft. Geoff.

    Geoffs Trumpeter 1/48 MiG-3

Cheers Steve 👍 I’ve done them in the raised position as in most of the pictures I’ve looked at they are like that. Geoff.

    Papa695s Airfix 1/72 Vickers Wellington Mk.1A/C

Just catching up with your build Ian, it looks like it’s coming on a treat 🙂 The interior look great, shame most of its hidden but you had the fun of building it. I’m looking forward to seeing the electrics in operation 👍 Geoff.

    Geoffs Trumpeter 1/48 MiG-3

I’ve managed a bit more progress 😊 The flaps were added, the fit wasn’t the best so it needed a bit of Perfect Plastic putty to hide the gaps, a few other areas needed a smear of filler too but in fairness the fit is generally good. Once the filler had been cleaned up and given time to dry it...

    Geoffs Trumpeter 1/48 MiG-3

Sorry for the late replies chaps 😳 Thanks Joe, I’m pleased how it turned out 😊 Sounds interesting Chris 🤔 Thanks Tony, I’m very glad it hasn’t got PE hinges to deal with 😮 Cheers Jim, yes it’s a nice little kit 👍 Thanks Darian I’m enjoying the build, I’d certainly recommend it 🙂 Geoff.

    Workbench, show us yours

Popped round to visit my sister yesterday and found was throwing this desk topper out. Seemed a shame to waste it so I quickly took possession of it try try on the bench and found it was a perfect fit. It’s reduced the working space a bit but gives me a lot more storage to keep things tidy...

    A4D-1 Skyhawk...... Airfix 1/72

Crikey I didn’t realise the real Skyhawk was that old 😮 Looking forward to watching you have some fun with this one Paul 👍 Geoff.

    Geoff’s Tamiya 1/48 Bristol Beaufighter Mk.VI

Thank you Steve 👍 Cheers Joe, yep I’m pleased with how it’s looking so far 😊 Thanks Jim, yes they make such good kits but the decals can be disappointing. It is quite a big bird, it’s actually a larger sized piece of kitchen paper 😂 Geoff.

    Geoff’s Tamiya 1/48 Bristol Beaufighter Mk.VI

I’ve been trying to finish off a couple of bench sitters recently including this one. After the last update it has had a gloss clear coat (Alclad Aqua Gloss) and the decals added. The Tamiya decals aren’t great, they have quite thick carrier film which doesn’t conform well 😕. There weren’t...

That’s a great result Kaci, super quick too 🤩 Geoff.

Very nicely done Colin 👍 Geoff.

    Italeri 1/72 Dassault Mirage 2000

That’s a nice idea Joe 👍 I think you will do a much better job with all the skills/techniques you have learnt in that time. I was thinking of doing something similar for the Tamiya GB 🤔 Geoff.

    Tamiya GB...Rules and chat thread

I’ve got three candidates but can’t decide which to go for 🤔 I’ll probably wait to see what everyone else is planning on building and then decide. Geoff.

    Enforced absence

Crikey, that sounds horrific Bob 😬 Glad you’re over the worst and on the mend now. Hopefully your recovery will continue to go well and you’ll be able to get back to the bench soon 🤞 Geoff

Looking forward to this one, thanks for suggesting and hosting it Paul. Half your post is showing faintly for me too, do you need to change your carbon ribbon? 😂 Geoff.
