    Chris' 1/144 Ye-50 'Not another -21 prototype!)

Like this... Top is the Ye-50, middle is going to be the Ye-2A, bottom is me going back and building a 'better' Ye-2, using the wings and tail fin off the first attempt They won't appear anywhere here tho' until they're completed

    Chris' 1/144 Ye-50 'Not another -21 prototype!)

Okay There are something like fourteen or fifteen different prototypes, including sun-variants and test aircraft before you even get to the service / production types, of which there are at least sixteen different sub-variants, not including the dozen-or-more localised variants, and all the...

I'll say Only the wings and fuselage halves haven't had a use so far!

    Airfix 1/72 Hawker Hurricane Mk.1

Very nice indeed. And I'm even more tempted to do a third (or fourth?) one of these now Does the gas warning panel really sit that far out on the wing, as they're usually positioned closer to the cockpit? It might even be easier to see there out by the roundel

    Eduard’s 1/48 scale A6M2-N Rufe (weekend edition)

I have a theory about why people go for stark black panel lines (which, IMHO, look bloody awful and are waaay too stark, but that's just me) Shigeo Koike He was the artist for the simply beautiful box art on Hasegawa kits back in the nineteen-eighties. And he always drew all the panel lines in...

    Eduard’s 1/48 scale A6M2-N Rufe (weekend edition)

Very nice. I especially like the understated panelling and weathering

    Chris' 1/144 Ye-50 'Not another -21 prototype!)

Last two bits today. The main undercarriage bays I cut in the wings are, of course, in the wrong place. So a bit of cutting and shimming puts them right Lining them up before hand, no matter how much I 'measure twice cut once, never seems to quite work out. I've got one more set of these...

    Chris' 1/144 Ye-50 'Not another -21 prototype!)

Sawing time The blue tape is a straight edge guide, and is AK's curvable masking stuff, BTW. As a mask it's okay, from first attempt (the August First J-7MG) The F/J-7 is slightly longer than the equivalent -21, so needs shortening by a mil-or-so in front of the tail. And this even though the...

In the seven-or-eight books I've got on the 202 and 205, (some speciific to type, some to types and units) I found these Both from the Osprey 53 Stormo book First pic is listed as 374 squadriglia pilots (and mascot) Second is six named pilots of 150 Gruppo Autonomo with a 109 at Sciacia in...

    KC 135 stratotanker

That has turn out pretty damn good, and the toned down weathering really sets it off And is it just me or does the darker lighting make it look sort of, sinister? See what you mean about the transfers breaking up though. It happens, unfortunately. Did you overspray them BTW? Oh yeah. I lost...
