Here's my tribute to our great mate Ron .In a forgotten corner of a smallholding in the cheshire countryside sits a once proud Ferguson T20 , now retired and resting ,its once shiny grey now a dusty , rusty patina . Apart from the fergie , wheels on the trailer and the two big oil drums...

As expected things have changed a bit , still making it up as I go along. The placement of things has been altered , one of the feeding troughs is now outside with a bit of water in the bottom . The oil can with the toolbox on is behind the tractor and all the tools either on/ in it or on table...

    Forgotten Fergie

The labour of love I referred to is the toolbox and tools. Ron was a joiner in his younger years so this is a nod to that ( he once told me the day he packed it in he went and threw his toolbag into the river Dee in Chester , theyre probably still there now ! ) . Using wine foil and various bits...

Thanks guys , getting near the finish now . As you say colin knowing when to stop was a problem , I ended up with more stuff than I could fit in the barn! Anyways heres a mock up of the layout ( without the barn of course) . Theres just one last bit to go on which has been a proper labour of...

    Latest Acquisitions (2026)

I got some of these last year geoff and for me they were a game changer. I used to mix the paints thoroughly in a shaker , thin them in a separate mixing cup , stir thoroughly again and I would still get tiny bits clogging the nozzle causing spattering and reduced flow . Since Ive bern using...

    Forgotten Fergie

Youre not kidding , I HAD to have a tidy up of the bench yesterday , I actually ran out of space ! After a big clean up Ive now been making more stuff - a sack barrow from wire ,a wooden pallet and I wasnt happy with the spares box plastic oil drum and crate so I made a lid for it and I’m going...
