    Lockheed L1011-1/200 Hasegawa

Interesting build. We don't see that many civilian aircraft built. Shame as they make really nice, colourful models. You're off to a good start. Seems very sensible to use decals for the windows. Too small and too many 😁

How do we manage to lose large parts ?

I once lost my dad's car. Many, many years ago I borrowed my dad's car to take my then girl friend for a day out in York. Parked the car and did all the sites of the city. Time to go - couldn't remember which carpark the car was in! Just knew you could see the city walls from the CP. Not helpful...

    Double decker bus

These wooden kits have come a long way over the last few years. They can be relatively simple or mega complex. This looks good.

    The Magic Coffee House

A Christmas pressie from my daughter. Great fun and takes far longer to build than you would think. Really well thought out. Only a couple of issues. The front roof section was badly warped and had to be replaced. The perspex case was the wrong size and the front, back and sides had to be cut down.

An update on my wife and my lack of posting since today.

So sorry to hear that things have got to this stage. Hopefully the expertise of the care home staff will make things better for you both. Fully understand that many other things take precidence over the hobby and the forum. Come back when you're able and look after yourself.

1/24 SCALE HELLER FERGUSON Rusty and left in a barn Fergi

That looks excellent. The old building is superb. Agree with Colin about the base 👍

WW2 SAS soldier with machine gun 1/10 bust

Looks a very well detailed sculpt. Luckily it looks like the monkey is a totally separate moulding. The detail on the shirt shoulder is unaffected.

The Longest Yarn - a knitted history of WW2

A nice touch is that a lot of the profits from the exhibition go to veteran charities. One is Forces Veterans Afloat. They provide narrow boats as permanent homes for veterans. The idea is that the canals provide a very peaceful living environment for ex service men, which is exactly what they...

The Longest Yarn - a knitted history of WW2

The Longest Yarn is an exhibition showing the history of WW2 through 80 knitted displays. The displays were made by knitting groups from around the country to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of the war. The exhibition has moved around the country and the wife and I went to see it...
