    Following Tim's observation, the filter has been replaced. The old one has been washed and came out well, now drying on the line. John.

    Your right Tim, the filter it's self is a lot lighter when new ! Had it from Andy years ago , I hasten to add it's been changed several times since then. Will give it a wash and report back !

    Thanks all. Yes that acrylic filler is ok for those mentioned, I've just cut and wired a head, and used Tamiya to start the filling.
