    Tamiya Fireblade

I actually think that’s what happened to my Honda transfers, so I’m glad you cracked it…..

    Tamiya Fireblade

I’ll remember that one if I get the same issue in the future.

    Tamiya Fireblade

Sorry Andy. Can’t help. Never had this with Cartograph before. They usually handle impeccably. Had this with the Honda CB, as I said on that thread, though, but thought they were Tamiya’s own. All I did was soak them for longer and they eventually came off. Maybe a drop or two of blue...

That looks extremely convincing. Great job Andy.

    Latest Acquisitions (2026)

You’ll enjoy that one. I did. Needs a bit more cleaning up, being an old moulding, but looks good when complete. I got the vinyl look on the seat by polishing the bare black plastic, but I bet you have a better idea. Look out for the decals though. They are typical crap Tamiya. I had one...

    Brian's Caldercraft 1/72 HMS Victory

I’d say another year, but it does depend on how many hours you put in a day 😉. Still got all the running rigging to go haven’t you?

    Tamiya Fireblade

Looks great Andy. I’ve only used to TS colours a couple of times, and I tend to decant them for airbrush use, dilute with MLT. Spray superbly though.

Dragon to no longer make Model Kits?

Sounds like they are going into research and production design, leaving the physical manufacturing to others. After all, there are a large number of kit manufacturers out there now, and they must be getting their tooling information from someone. You could also be right about 3D printing...

    Tamiya Fireblade

That’s looking good enough to ride Andy. Another one here that despises silver plastic. It’s impossible to see if it’s clean until it’s painted…..and the flow lines are off putting as well.

    Brian's Caldercraft 1/72 HMS Victory

Wow….loadsa knots. Mind you, I’d have to learn how to tie a clove hitch first if I did it….. All that knitting looks great though….

Yes, but with older cats you can tell the difference because there are times that they don’t…..

Love them all to be honest. Our four year old stripy tiger Dotty is the Bain of the local rodent population…..I’m sure this boy will eventually be taught the tricks. Frodo is being shown tolerance, with loud swearing if he gets too close. No aggression , just leave me alone vibes. I’m sure...

    Latest Acquisitions (2026)

Not modelling related, but very much a new acquisition. Here is Frodo. He was found thrown away in a bin when he was a couple of hours old. He was brought in to the vets practice where my daughter works in a very poor state. His sister never survived the night. Alice took him on and hand...

    Brian's Caldercraft 1/72 HMS Victory

The ratlines might be really tedious Brian, but they really are iconic, and the whole just looks better and better….every time you get to the end of a section I wonder what’s next….

    3d printed Monocycle Speeder

    Nice job Andy.

    Adventures in resin 3D printing

Looking good Andy. Prefer the supports you are using. The “organic” ones always look a little eerie to me 😂
