How long to make a standard model??

Months and months lol. Ships are something different. I consider them as many kits in one box. I can now see why so many builders take a year and more.

    Mig Atom paints, anybody used?

After trying Kaleido, noticed that Mig do a similar paint, Atom. Much the same statements, Non toxic, no smell etc Has anybody used? Never heard of it but my fault for being a one trick pony with laquers. Got a feeling that laquers will gradually fade away due to regulations etc. So doing...

Tirpitz with this and that, slow return for me

Afternoon all Deck finished and tape removed. So test fitted some of the superstructure. The large front section was catching the pe AA splinter shields so a very carful trim with Xuron pe snips. One not to do again, must do more test fitting! Next more priming and top coats Finally coming...

    Kaleido part 2 brush painting

Very true Jim, they haven't done a thing about it as well. Kaleido do varnishes of course. So a varnish coat would probably help against scratches?

    Kaleido paint review using airbrush

Can see the hype myself Andy. So easy to use, no thinners etc. When you open the mr color the pong escapes immediately, Kaleido, nothing at all from opening the bottle to using. Will keep an eye out for future releases. Going to nag them as wll6

    Kaleido part 2 brush painting

First to carry on from airbrushing Kaleido. The spoons had dried over 24hrs. So did a scratch test, used a cocktail stick and really not surprised that it scratched. No big deal for me anyway. So on to brush painting, read one of those AI reviews and it said that they brush paint like laquers...

    Kaleido paint review using airbrush

Recently bought a Gaalhier airbrush with a fan cap, to be used on hulls. Very good too! Saw a lot of info about there range of acrylic paints called Kaleido. Apparently they are pre thinned, Non toxic, dont smell but spray like laquers. Hard finish and quick to dry. So thought I would give them...

Tirpitz with this and that, slow return for me

Evening the pva will sit between the plastic deck and the adhesive on the wood deck. Seen a good few ship builders using it to stop the deck from rising. So I'll give it a whirl!
