Typical Tamiya kit, no fit issues if a little simplistic. Only non standard parts are tailpipes, carpets and 3D printed door handles. Did not use AM grille as too fiddly. Did some more detailing today. The narrow braided hose was in the kit but frays terribly so sprayed it with hairspray and painted it aluminium with a Galherri marker. Further advances on the engine. Hollowed out the core (welch) plugs, added some bolt heads and painted numerous colours. Very light weathering and dry brushing. Dry fitted the exhaust headers and collectors - very happy with the welds but still not sure if too colourful, have to mull it over.- Stefee

Decided to leave the overscale drive belt well alone for fear of really damaging something so decided to bling up the pulleys a bit to divert attention. Starter motor, coil and water pump scratched and hollow backed alternator filled and detailed a little. Contemplating wether to make the auxiliary drive belt more realistic but will mostly be hidden when fitted.- Stefee

Finally finished scratch building the distributor and HT leads and hopefully in the correct firing order. Covered the top of of the timing cover and starter motor + coil WIP. Next to appear whilst paints,glues etc. dry on other builds. This kits manufacturer is not named but a direct copy of the Trumpeter/Magnifier offering with extra decals to do Ken Miles car. Finished the dash and interior but considering adding lap belts which were an option as apparently. Note the position of the handbrake lever and tiny decal for the gear positions on the gear know.- Stefee

After several hours of flatting and polishing I managed to achieve a decent finish. Got some more of the DB5 done. Adding piping to the seats and door panels and completed the floor pan and running gear. Just dry fitted the unpolished body to check the stance - wheels just loosely fitted. Being a snap together kit means if you paint the parts you have to open up all the holes...- Stefee

Decals and 2k clear applied, some dirt inclusions and minor sinkage around the sunroof and bullet shield inserts to be flatted and polished when fully cured.
