    Lego my V8

Ever onward. This is turning into a record long Lego build for me. Turbos and exhaust plumbing added on. And fan. John

Looking great Brian. Keep it going and you will have an outstanding model. John

    Lego my V8

This is certainly one of the most complex Lego style models that I have attempted. Partly because the instructions are no where near as fool proof as the Lego versions. Having said that I am having a great time building (and frequently undoing and rebuilding) this. In the first picture I have...

    Lego my V8

So this is what you get after about 4 hours. Nice colored pistons and quite tricky to get the timing in the right order. Onward and upward. You can see the electric motor and battery box in the background. Everything is a bit floppy at this stage. John

    Lego my V8

It's a fun subject. I have got it and made a start. It is pretty much lego style pieces maybe a little less quality (Chinese version) but pretty good. I am already suffering from lego thumb. You knbow that dull ache when you have been squeezing small parts together for a couple of hours. I have...

    Lego my V8

Always enjoyed lego models, but I found this using what looks like mostly lego parts but from another manufacturer. V8 twin turbo WITH transmission and all powered by a battery driven motor. This looks like it should be fun. Delivered from Amazon in 1 day! John

    Brian's Caldercraft 1/72 HMS Victory

Brian There is a tread at (https://modelshipworld.com/topic/36173-hms-victory-by-yabuhebi-chris-caldercraft-172/page/4/) where someone is building this model and I have extracted this photo from that thread. It seems to show how the plank shear buts up against the cat head vertical support...

    What's on the Bench 2025

Happy New Year to everyone I have built a couple of book nook type things so SWMBO bought me this as a pressy. Quite a challenge with all the electrics etc. Also takes some faffing to get the cuckoo to line up with the hour and the correct time. Finally got it all together and very pleased...

    PBI (Poor Bloody Infantry)

Steve I think I will have a go at this one. I was thinking about this sculpt I did but it was a couple of years ago. It's a copy of our local war memorial. However I have thought of another sculpt that I will have a go at, at about 120 mm. Looking forward to the off John

    Book Nook station

Thanks for the interest guys. So I built another one, The Magic Bookshop This one is a much more complicated build and certainly more fiddly. It is powered by USB which is a little less convenient than internal batteries. It was also not quite as easy to build and the MDF/Ply pieces are a...

    Book Nook station

3rd and final part. About 6 hours to build and, despite a few fiddly bits, a real pleasure. The lights work with a touch sensor under the little symbol at the front of the platform. And by the use of mirrors etc the whole scene has an infinite depth. Definitely looking to build another...

    Book Nook station

Thanks for the interest guys. Part 2 of this fun build the start of the station platform. I have to repeat that this is a great little kit., the pieces fit like a dream and the overall effect gets better and better.

    Book Nook station

Hi all I haven't built anything for ages so I thought I would get back with something easy. I found this wooden book nook thingy. So far I am very impressed. Everything you need is in the box even a little screw driver and the glue. It comes with a full LED lighting kit and beautifully rendered...

Latest acquisition for me. Genesis G70 3.3 litre twin turbo AWD, 365 HP 370 Torque, a real little goer. Shame we still have so much snow so can't really let her go yet. John
