    Jim wondering what do do with it when finished, It's a lot bigger that i first thought. Was thinking to donate it to somewhere after all the fun was in the building, a display case would cost an arm and a leg :)

    Thanks John I will paint them yellow ochre and as for the banding I too thought they were rope but according to the dockyard in portmouth thay are metal straps painted the same yellow ochre as the masts

    Thats the problem well if there varnished wood I won't be rubbing them down :) I could paintthem walnut/yellow ochreI have the admiralty coulours
