Small and Basic G40 Dozer Dio/Vignette
As I am nearing the end of my little (1:48 scale) Tamiya Japanese G40 Bulldozer build, and it is such a nice little model, I have decided it needs its own little vignette. Bulldozer Komatsu G40, 1:48. Tamiya
Now added a rust wash (Ammo/Mig). The kit comes with what are described as metal stickers for the main front badge. They are tiny! They look like thick decals. So like an eejit I tried applying them like decals, but nope, they have a very thin plastic coating, so do not dissolve/move like...- pjgtech

A Tale of 3 Tigers (Reprise) now a Tale of 4 Tigers!
My original quest was to build three Tigers, one in 1:72, and one in 1:48 and one in 1:35, but after my initial 1:72 model, I found a tiny little 1:144 one, so I had to build that as well! How long to make a standard model??
I struggled with PE at first too, tiny little blighters! especially with gluing it down, but I now have some PE specific glue and it works a treat, (Deluxe Materials Photo Etch Glue).... (y) -

Review - Dspiae Tool Combo Set - Pt1
I'm a bit of a tool nut, so I have lots, Lol. Oops, just noticed in the photo above I was using Tamiya gloss black X-18 whereas I was intending to use flat black XF-1. Luckily not a lot of black was used, so it does not look too glossy! Must concentrate harder, Lol!- pjgtech

So I started the rust painting, I have a Mig/Ammo book on how to do rust, but TBH its basically a catalogue/sales brochure for their paints, pigments and washes! Also, they take about 50 steps to get to the final rust effect. I have tried to break their long winded procedure down into fewer...- pjgtech

Komatsu or Komatu? Just noticed that the Tamiya box says "Komatsu", but the included decals say "Komatu"..... so which is it, anyone know? Initial build now completed and painted, but, I am attempting a "rusty" build with this one, so the next step is to try and get some sort of rust effect...- pjgtech

As above it depends, on lots of things... What the model is. How big or small the model is. How many parts the model has. How complicated the model is. How much time you have to carry out your modelling. How much research you like to do (or not). What experience, tools, space and equipment you... -

This one is now finished. My quest to build a family of Tigers is now done. I don't think I will be going any larger than this 1:35.
