    Iwo Jima 1-32 Scale

I needed a small amount of MagicSculpt to fill one of my painting projects, so I used the remainder (which was most of it) to progress a couple more of my Iwo Jima boys. And I couldn’t just leave it at the sculpting, I ended up finishing two more of them off, ready for paint. First up is an NCO...

    ESCI 1/48 Henschel hs 129 b-3 completed

Love that Tony. It reminds me of how much I liked the old Airfix 1-72 scale one I made back in the day

    Brian's Caldercraft 1/72 HMS Victory

This really demonstrates the answer to the question 'How do you eat an elephant?' answer;one bite at a time... Your tenacity and above all your consistency amazes me Brian.

    Neil's 1-35 Liberty Ship Diorama

I’ve had a couple of attempts at painting the water, but I think I’m more or less there now. The first colour was just too blue(you can see it at the edges),so I put a few grey washes over it but then it was almost the same colour as the landing craft, which is great for camouflage but not...

Chota Sahib City of London Yeomanry 54mm

Here’s another one of my painting projects, keeping the fear at bay... I picked this up at the BMSS Nationals and it was little bit of a gamble because like a total idiot I had forgotten my glasses- yes , at a model show! DOH! I didn’t know anything about the City of London Yeomanry uniform...

Good luck Tim. I know lots of dancers who have had it done and are still going strong-hopefully you'll soon be back on the dancefloor yourself 😜 !

Great job, Jim- especially the water. Ron would definitely approve

    Neil's 1-35 Liberty Ship Diorama

I usually mix paint into it Jim, but I know I'm going to be sanding it and spraying it with primer so I didn't bother this time. And in this case the odd white fleck won't look out of place anyway

    Neil's 1-35 Liberty Ship Diorama

Many thanks Jim. Well so much for my pessimistic prediction- I had an unexpected window of opportunity open up yesterday so I went for it! As indicated before, I am using Sculptamold to cover the insulation foam foundation. People have suggested DAS air-drying clay but I've never been able to...

    Neil's 1-35 Liberty Ship Diorama

Thanks Chaps! As usual there’s been rather a lot of distracting household stuff keeping me from cracking on with this project, but, as promised, I have been gradually getting on with the first stages of the water. I found an old piece of insulation foam in the loft when we bought the house, and...
