    When did Tamiya get good?

    Hey all sorry about the dead air yesterday, I had to work. (Pizza maker by profession). Anyway I got back on the Viper today, installed the cockpit closed up the fuselage and did basic airframe assembly. I didn't use all of the Eduard PE and left off the stiffener plates as the 527th Vipers...

    I've finished the cockpit, I used the original kit instrument panel and modified the PE to fill in the spaces sure it looks nothing like the prototype, but that's not the goal I'm trying to reach.

    Day ones progress was minimal, but I did finish detailing the seat save for color parts. The instrument panel in this kit is a joke, but it Is kind of charming just how unrealistic it is.     I've started on the cockpit. First I cut odd the triangular "Rudder Pedals" and filled the subsequent holes. Basic cleanup and test fit of a side console show that some trimming will be required.
