Going with the usual convention I'm getting the bodywork done first. There were a few mould seams to remove , then some of the panel gaps weren't perfect or well defined so I went around with a combination of a razor saw and fine chisels to clean them up. Then it was on with the primer...- Andy T

Mixing materials on a diorama base, be careful!
Often called mud drying because of how it looks. Basically the surface has dried before the underlying layers. This makes the surface inflexible, and as the substrate dries, shrinks, and generally moves around it can cause that cracking. It's a phenomenon that can be used to good effect, as...- Andy T

I only have a small place so can get away with solvent paints, whereas the bigger shops have to use water based to keep VOC solvent emissions under a certain level. But the stuff I use is fine, if you're careful. To be honest, all the car focused model paints out there, like Zero, Splash...- Andy T
