    I thought it was PVA glue that could cause that? I always use CA, although most of the weights I use are probably "lead substitute"

    They're probably just following the market. I know from my son & his mates that some spend a huge amount of money on the hobby, buying the latest armies etc. He makes a bit back from commission work or selling old models, but I look around the house and see hundreds of pounds worth of stuff...

    I've got another little commission job for a friend, who wants a 125 HST painting in the GWR Green & yellow scheme. Where would I start looking for the colours? I've found a couple online but they are water based acrylic. I'd prefer a lacquer if possible Thanks.

    Thanks for your comments guys. The driver is now seated comfortably and I've begun grunging the vehicle up. It looks a bit funky at the moment due to the shiny washes but further work and a matt coat will fix that I'm still waiting for the "cargo" to arrive 🙄 Once you're accustomed to...
