    Airborne01's fd.kfz 7. Dragon, 1/35

A little time at the bench (thanks to an understanding SWMBO) and 'onwards and upwards!' Due to taking a short-cut I put the front bodywork on and created some minor problems relating to 'How do I now get the rear portion on?' -fortunately that's now resolved and the bodywork is fitted and just...

    Free to a Good Home!

I have been given several military-themed books but I already have a couple of them, therefore I'm happy to give them away as a freebie! The first is SEIDLER, Hans.(2013) Hitler's Tank Killer; Sturmgeschutz at War 1939-45. Pub: Pen & Sword (Images of War series) ISBN 184884174-4. Excellent...

    Airborne01's fd.kfz 7. Dragon, 1/35

Managed to make the chassis - almost complete but winch cable, hydraulics, engine plumbing and touch-ups to do. Just started on fuel tank and running gear but will be slow in posting next stage as I'm locum caretaker next week. Had a nightmare as, having posted these photos, realised the front...

A little fun with Lego figures!

Just a moment's diversion - these are 'gissits' for some of the characters in my 'local'! The three front figures are the landlord, landlady and son; the remainder are just some of the eccentric characters who populate and enrich the quintessential English pub! The best local ever! Incidentally...

    Airborne01's fd.kfz 7. Dragon, 1/35

Didn't realise I may have over committed due to a surfeit of wingy fingies and work at school! However, here's my entry, may run out of time but will at least get the prime mover built! Here's the mandatory entree ( less the decals - sorry!) Steve

    Airborne's Tamiya, 1/48 Mosquito.

Here's a little progress; still building at school so very little time on the bench, two halves of the forward fuselage with some more way to go (detail and wiring to the rear of the control panel for example) then close up and onwards and upwards! The astute may notice a great wodge of filler...

    Curiouser and Curiouser!

Is it just me or do other forum members have unfinished dioramas, models or ideas etc that they start to research and get poised to launch when ..... somebody else posts more or less the same project they've just started!? This means I have to temporarily shelve that idea/model lest people...

    Airborne's Tamiya, 1/48 Mosquito.

Here's a little more progress on the Mosquito, hopefully get some more done in the next couple of days! Steve

    Airborne's Bergan reference photos

As threatened here's a couple of photo's of my original 60's A frame Bergan - it was a beastie I assure you! Steve

    Airborne's Tamiya, 1/48 Mosquito.

P...ed of with the Spitfire GB (realised that five years is a definite skills hiatus so just starting the beautiful Mossie) some sprue shots (nothing new here!)and a basic progress shot. Will try harder! Steve

    Papa695s Mosquito GB chat thread

Finally got off my a--e to start this! Spitfire GB progressing painfully slowly but I've sold the farm and have shed-loads of 'fings' to make this new GB progress at a gallop! (I hope!) Steve

    Airborne's Mosquito Mk. IV/PR, Tamiya, 1/48.

Been under the weather with a protracted Covid affliction that has reduced my time at the bench - I've worked intermittently at earlier start-ups so, in an effort to pad out this post I've put a couple of photos of the Pak 40 from Das Werk. The base is just for temporary display purposes as I...

Airborne's latest candidates for forthcoming GBs

Just acquired from John - Spitfire and P51 GB candidates! Haven't made wingy things for years so I went for Tamiya as I'm not sure I could deal with a lot of hassle. P51 sprue shots once started! Steve

    Vikings!

A friend (and neighbour) of mine belonged to a Regiment whose nickname was 'The Vikings'; he is in the process of converting his garage to a 'Pub' called 'The Viking'! (Top marks for originality methinks!) - there is an enclave of ex-squaddies in my immediate neighbourhood and we are all going...

    Airborne's Sgt Mather - Completed (I hope!)

This is as far as I think I can go - there are faults that identify in larger photographic scales but I'm reasonably happy with this, my first attempt at this scale.I hope I've done the man and his achievements justice. Steve

Airborne's Falklands GB candidate - Sgt Mather MM

Another update! Basic colour blocking done - much more detailing to do but this is progress so far! As always comments and criticisms welcome! Steve

Andrew's Resurrected 1/72 MiniArt Town House

As promised 'wriggly tin' device with two bits of Coke tin as examples! Can't remember the manufacturer but I'm fairly sure it came from Hobbycraft, the card-making department! Steve

Airborne's Falklands GB candidate - Sgt Mather MM

Small update - in process of painting the Bergan and have done the initial painting of the face. Large scale makes it look terrible but honestly, it looks better 'au naturel'. Realise I need to adjust colour tones etc but it's edging towards a tired, hungry, grubby, under stress squaddy- hope so...
