Hi all, bit more progress, hull decals have been applied along with some weathering,being an icebreaker it seemed reasonable to give it some rusty scrapes. Ive toned dow the heli deck as it was to black and new looking,still some decals to add there also, and just a pic for size comparison.- Mark1

Work space...
Once i start a build i it doesn't take to long to end up with a workspace fractional bigger than the model lol Im planning on getting some more underdesk draws to keep everything in and close to hand, its all too easy when reaching over the desk to catch the model, paint,glue etc with an elbow...- Mark1

A little bit more progress,a few decals gone on and started adding some bits on the rear deck. One of the helicopters has a pe upgrade which will look a bit better than clear plastic with decals.- Mark1

Hi all, progress has slowed a bit due to an interruption called being back at work but i have now got the 22 parts together to make the bridge,still more to go! The rear deck is now fitted and the front one has had most of its bits glued on too ,including the anchor chains. Made a start at...- Mark1

The hull has now had a coat of vallejo gloss ready for some decals to be applied and weathering. And a random selection of the many small bits have got some colour.- Mark1

Update so far, the hull is painted will need a coat of gloss yet. Done a bit of weathering on the decks and painted the winches and cable reels,had a dry fit of everything and not looking to bad, the green tarps need some attention yet.- Mark1

Decided that getting some paint on the hull was a good move so its got a coat of mr hobby black , when thats dried i will mask off the bottom from the waterline and paint the orange.- Mark1

Today i enjoyed my time deck masking:tired: great fun! A few touch ups here and there to do but the lower rear deck(on the left)can now be fitted which means i can now get on with building up the rest.- Mark1

So today's efforts. Got some colour on the decks, and colour on all the masts/hoists.some railings fitted at the back and started building the bridge which is pain as theres so many little bits ,some are clear parts. Another quick on the inside ,not that it will be seen.- Mark1

So ive made a bit of progress,first round of pe out the way, bit wobbly here and there but itll look fine painted on the shelf. as for this mast ,they supplied steel rod for the two antennas which had no chance staying there with a blob of ca,there far to heavy ,so they've been replaced with...- Mark1

Along with the 1/350 soya,i got this and an etch kit for it courtesy of japan plaza A load of etch ,resin and wood deck kit for 1/200 missouri, the deck kit all the way from australiaAnd this was a christmas present
