Latest Acquisitions (2024)
Just had a not so little box turn up. The Gannet box is huge! I have smaller boxes with 1/32 scale Aircraft! A car I have often fancied a crack at. Now I have an excuse with the up coming GB. -

Anywho... I was having a think and found some multi-strand cable. knocked off a dozen or two eyelets.... With the aid of the rigging guide I was able to drill some holes into the wings and fuselage where the 'wires' need to be placed. Odd that all had a tiny pin mark on the wings to mark the...- Ian M

Did I say its tiny? The fit is pretty good, the only iffy bit is under the cock pit area but that is probably my doing... I thought that the square bit was to be covered by the wing. Alas no. Need to buy or make some filler. I floated some CA over the offending step and sanded that back once...- Ian M

Heard a lot of good things about this and after some of the other newer toolings from Airfix.... why not. Decal sheet. well printed and colourful. The destructions are of the newer type as well. AND have directions for rigging! yay! I'm so glad it is 1/48 and NOT 1/72. this thing is tiny...- Ian M

small space desk
Sounds like an old fashion writing desk, is just what you need. Plenty of draw space. An ok work area and can be closed when done . (And locked). Can often find then in used furniture shops/ flea markets... This is not mine, I stole the picture off the interweb as an example -

Snowy morning!
It snowed most of yesterday, only very lightly, then apparently a bit more in the night... And its just starting up again. Not going out in that! The view from the back door, a bit blurred, no flash and night function on the mobil. It was rather dark. The front garden! Bit lighter this time... -

Scania T620 conversion Italeri/KFS 1/24 Peters Truck GB.
Here are the pictures of the (almost) completed build. I cant find the decals so will add them if or when I find them... The Italeri kit was pretty good. and built well. The conversion set from Kit form Services was very well cast, I found one tiny bubble and they had filled that! My only gripe...- Ian M

Well bugger! Having put all the wires in the connectors and mounted said connectors, the cabin could not close.... so... Took the wire snips to it, dismantled half the truck and started again. There where far too many wires inside the cab. I made a new loom from both the rear and the...- Ian M

Todays installment was the rear lights. Happy to say I got those sorted and working (nope still only on a 6v test battery so not yet befor you ask Chris). Did have a bit of a sweat on when none of them worked. A coffee and a sandwich later I figured it out....I had forgot to connect the feed...- Ian M

Had to do a bit of wiring today. Some of them came up short, so had to lengthen them. I had hoped to get all the cab lights into one multi plug then get the rear lights and a connector for a trailer (long way off).
