    I think I've become a collector

Jep. I might not have built to much for to long but I have also been snagging a few along the way in my 'down time'. The Airfix Gannet being a good example. I sit and look at the stash once in a while and pick one out. open the box and have a look. put the lid on and this goes on for a while...

Ian M's Heller 1/24 Mercedes delivery van.

Yep a 1/24 6v and some wolfrace wheels and a bucket of metal flake and we're good to go..... those where the days. Talking of which... I did the rub down and light polish this morning before the second coat of Ivory... Whilst admiring the result it fell off the holder and landed on the not to...

Well Chaps, I guess I can say I am back on this project. I have just spent three days reposting all the photos so they can be seen with the naked eye. NO MAGNIFYING GLASSES NEEDED @boatman I will need a while to finish some other projects off, find out where I got to and figure out which bits...

    Feedback needed

I have noticed that on the last incarnation, you could make a comment which came up in the OP's post. Now they come up as a post in their own right.. So if you see some misplaced/misaligned/confusing posts here and there, we now know why.

Ian M's Heller 1/24 Mercedes delivery van.

Got a coat of Ivory white on the bodywork and now waiting for that to dry... Humbrol at its best! Once I am happy with that, the read arches will be painted dark red along with the front wheel arches and the wheels....Wondering whether to do the running boards red as well.

Ian M's Heller 1/24 Mercedes delivery van.

Well its been a while so I found something 'simple' lol. As can be seen only 80 parts to contend with... The main body parts are on the one tree, a small fret of chromed parts... A one piece body and rubber tyres (yippy). A fret of clear for the erm.... Clear parts, and all the other bits of...

Do we need a shake up/down?

In a resent post that accidently got deleted, I touched upon an idea to try inject a bit more club house vibe and maybe a bit more life into the forum. The idea: Within the GB forum I could make a new section and call it the club house or the club build. I am not sure how many here actually...

    Heller 1/24 scale Scania 141

Still a classic but a bit more modern than the last one I posted. The red is looking a bit funky in the pictures but trust me it is RED. You can just make out the positioning mark for the side lights. One of which vanished across the room. I might address the problem if/when I get the...

Bartlett of Coventry OSBT 5 ton tipper. Emhar 1/24

I find these Emhar model trucks quite amusing. They build well and the fit is generally very good. Good plastic as well! The decals on this one were a challenge. Not because they are quite old, but they were a bit of a faff. Each panel line was four parts: top, bottom, left and right. Getting...

    What's on the Bench 2025

Here is the last two hours worth from my bench... I am now affraid to use any decal solutions to bed them into the "woodgrain" 14 decals on this one part! The name was one decal, cut that in two, as I did with the telephone number. So I could say 16 decals! More later if I (or it) survives! lol

    Ian M's Fw190A-8 JGr.10 Hasegawa 1/32

Well its not that often I will build a German Aircraft, In all my years of plastic bashing, I can still count them on one hand. This one though I built to honour the memory of a fellow member of the forum that was taken from us far to soon an most unexpected. I can imagine him looking down on us...

    Ian M's Fw190A-8 JGr.10 Hasegawa 1/32

I chose not to weather this one. I know. "looks like a toy" some will say. Truth be known I hear that aircraft where clean when delivered. 😝 Here is one after the matt coat went down. Spot the mistake. There are more pictures in the Completed section. Thanks for the support from those who have...

    Ian M's Fw190A-8 JGr.10 Hasegawa 1/32

Cheers Paul I will try that next time... The decals are a bit old though so that didn't help. I have both Micro set and sol but rarely use the Micro set but yes blue first. A real good trick is to put the decals onto a drop of Johnsons clear, you know the floor stuff. lol. Point of reference...

    Ian M's Fw190A-8 JGr.10 Hasegawa 1/32

Well the other side was marginally better... Apart from the most obvious of places! grr. Oh! I forgot the number. the crinkling is the Micro sol which is still wet and not sucked down yet... Next are the stencils!!!
