After a bit of a think I concluded that the deck needs to be done before the hull sides... Otherwise it'll be real fun to sand the decks. lol After the initial start up doubts and fears, only one way forward. get on with it! I ended up going for the kits odd planking. Cheers chaps. After a trip to the shopping center and a cuppa I got the landing plank built. planks are 0.5mm x 20mm x3mm the side beams 1mm x85mm the innermost 2mm and the outer ones 3mm high so the planks sit down in it. Just need a rope handrail, that will be after finishes are done. Cheers- Ian M

Rather quiet in here. I better make some noise. The deck's 'subfloor' Is now clamped and glue drying. I have given all the frames a good coat of a sealer...but not the contact edges, I want the glue to work. This is the sealer I am using. Serious sticky stuff. Guess which silly bugger cut his Stern Tubes to long! To make a short story from a long drama. The tubes are fitted with a collar that traps the axle. Once in place pretty much impossible to remove without destroying it. Two new ones on order along with some actual lights so I dont have to use...- Ian M

Bruma is a converted trawler registered in Spain, The kit is All Wood, with a bit of metal here and there! total length is about 85cm I have also purchased a few extra bits.... There are Six full size sheets of "instructions". and a bag of printed silk awnings and a flag. A Spanish one...- Ian M

Got a little box today: I was only after some Red and a Green in gloss. Turned out they had an offer. normal price is Kr25. offer price Kr.22. Shiny paint selection filled. Good old Humbrol ALL made in England again. -
