    Gern's 1/32 Trumpeter F-105G - A Sad End.

What is it with cats and boxes?! I was going to touch up the wheelbays on my Thud earlier - that's my spraybooth that Bonnie has appropriated for a bed!

    Make a centre finder

Hi guys. There's been some renewed interest in an old thread about finding the centre of a circle. Here's a recipe for a simple tool to do it - other tools are available: Here's what you need: A simple 90 x 45 x 45 deg set square available in almost any cheap geometry set and a couple of...

    Gern's 1/32 Trumpeter F-105G - A Sad End.

No garage Chris. She lives on the street right by my front door - no front garden either!

    Gern's 1/32 Trumpeter F-105G - A Sad End.

As promised, a bit more progress. Anyone who's seen any of the Trumpeter 1/32 kits will know that many of them use PE brackets and steel pins to attach flaps, ailerons etc. This one is no exception. I have no intention of playing with this when it's built so I can fix all these parts with...

What kind of hinges are these? Sorted.

Hi guys. Like the title says I'm looking for some hinges like this: I've seen them described as pivot pin hinges but had no luck finding any except these which are way too big for what I want. I'm after some about 15-20mm long and about 2mm diameter. Any help would be appreciated.

    'puter issue. OOPS - UNSORTED

FINALLY! Gary: I turned off private browsing (no idea why it turned on automatically) and now all my logins and passwords are saved. Still have to click the login button on the web page instead of going straight in from my desktop shortcut, but that's no big deal. I have achieved what I set...

    Gern's 1/32 Trumpeter F-105G - A Sad End.

Little more progress on this. I got the cockpit finished and installed on one side of the fuselage. Also fitted are the front wheelbay, bomb bay and engine. I've not fitted either the nicely detailed cannon or in-flight refuelling probe as neither of these will be seen. In the final version of...

    'puter issue. OOPS - UNSORTED

Yes I have registered an account Gary. Whatever menu I use or whatever I type about passwords or logins in their online help, they all guide me to either: (i) the login page for the sites I want to save passwords for and the menu is not shown, or: (ii) to the menu itself which is 'greyed' out...

    'puter issue. OOPS - UNSORTED

I know this may not be the right place, but lots of you guys know stuff about 'puters and are able to talk proper English like what I does, instead of computerese gibberish! I want to turn off the dropdown suggestions I get when I go into Google Chrome. All the sites I have visited give a method...

    Gern's 1/32 Trumpeter F-105G - A Sad End.

I'm back with my next build by popular demand - well one person anyway! I have already made a start on this and I'll have some more progress pics soon (no sprue pics as I forgot to take them!), but here's a few to be going on with: This is a big hairyplane - length 637mm and wingspan 333mm...

    Just a teaser Completed

Well here you go folks. After losing over a week due to 'puter and A/B problems, this is finally done. April (seated) is enjoying a quiet cup of coffee with her twin sister May before the rush starts. May has turned up to provide moral support for April's first day, but as the Cash & Carry...

Why make things so b****y hard! Sorted. I sold it!

There was a thread here a couple of weeks ago about folks not wanting to spend time and effort on tricky builds nowadays. Here's a classic example. I've just spent some time looking at this as a possible build: Nice big kit and a slightly unusual subject which is just what I like. I did the...

Oh no! Not Olive Drab! Sorted thanks.

'fraid so guys. I'm putting together an order for the shop and need some Olive Drab paint. I only use Vallejo and Tamiya acrylics so not interested in any of the other manufacturers (Yes, I know, some of you think they're better, but I'm kinda stuck in my ways thanks). I have used what VMA...

    Just a teaser Completed

Say Hello to the twins, April and May. Born either side of midnight on 30th April which explains their names. May, standing, works at my local Cash & Carry which is where I met them. April will be looking after my van - and I'm sure she will do a wonderful job for me. I have no idea who made...

    Just a teaser Completed

Got the base just about done now although the benches and bins need to be glued down Interior fittings and posters Still don't understand why my pics are blurry when I use a timer and tripod stand and I'm not touching the camera. Could it be the actual camera mechanism that causes it to...

    Just a teaser Completed

Hi Moni. I couldn't find the original images I used as I couldn't remember exactly what I searched for, but: I typed Roadside catering posters into Google and searched through the images. I found this one and right-clicked, and saved it to my desktop. Right click on your saved image and copy...

    Just a teaser Completed

Some more progress today, but not as much as I would have liked. Remember me saying my 'puter crashed last week? I've spent another two days linked with a Microsoft technician trying to fix it. Really weird, when I first log on, I get asked for my pin and sign in with no problems. The next...

    Just a teaser Completed

Ddddooohhh! Nobody reminded me what happens to foam when you spray it with a rattle can? I wanted a nice bit of tarmac for the roadway and tried to use that Rustoleum textured paint I used on my Russia build. Oh well: I may be able to salvage it if I turn it into a dirt road with some paint...

    Just a teaser Completed

Here you go Allen: Bit blurry, but these have been copied and shrunk and reenlarged and photographed. The biggest of these will be the poster showing the opening times - about 24mm x 40mm, and the smallest about 10mm square, and some will be inside the van so there's no way you're gonna be...

    Just a teaser Completed

OK. Teasing time over. This is my plan - a roadside catering van in a layby - subject to amendments, omissions and additions: I've marked out an area of paving and there will be a lawn area on the left hand side and green stuff along the fence (some square section balsa wood and cut down...
