Thanks chaps, Paul far too kind sir, Nick getting closer to priming! Just finished the worse pe so far, well for my skills anyway. Railings with lots of turns. Fitted using the one turn at a time method. Glue, wait, fit and Glue next section etc. Very nerve wracking i can tell you. Not perfect...- BattleshipBob

Many thanks gents, getting better bit by bit, mind you nails have not grown back 😜 Bit more of bobs pe battles. By far the hardest so far, two splinter shields and railings. Very awkward, first go not great, the pe deck has tiny grooves to make sure the shield fits correctly, yeh my bum...- BattleshipBob

Having never used annealing i have spent time experimenting to answer my own ??. Do you just heat up the area to be bent or curved, how much heat etc. Thankfully had spare splinter shields from the pe set for the knackered KGV build. Right folks bit more progress For me the worse parts so far, making the 2 f/ ward and rear AA shields. Curve then two right angles then a bend. Used my roller deck to do the curve but forgot to use two tweezers to hold then bend the right angle ( bloody hell, or similar). So the port side is...- BattleshipBob

Afternoon folks, still breathing So after hrs of PE practice I have found the perfect CA and it's not the usual 'specialist' ones. Its good old locktite orginal, it's not too thick or thin, wicks well, allows for wiggle room and easily applied with a thin brass rod. curve needs to be better...- BattleshipBob

Many thanks Jim, work to do Bit more progress, trying the pe rear and front of ship decks, surprisingly fiddly to fit and made a mistake on the front one, but a test fit of the superstructure looks ok, phew. One not to make again!- BattleshipBob

Afternoon all Can see my goodself having to solder some pe I have not soldered for many yrs and found a useful vid on YouTube. Cheers Paul and Joe, apologies for late thanks! Added my first 3D printed gun, flak vierling 4 barrelled AA gun, mounted on top of B or Bruno turret. Bismarck didn't. Worried about removing off the support but found pointy tweezers to be spot on. Very pleased and the detail is superb. Soooo...- BattleshipBob

Finished the secondary battery, added PE and as the kit has no blast bags I used the Very fire set inc metal barrels, for the secondary and main batteries. Not to bad. Those in the know will see two of the turrets have rangefinders, where on both tirpitz and Bismarck only the middle turret had...- BattleshipBob

Bit more for the old stash 1 700 cheap kit, wish there were more 1 350 WW1 ships, especially battleships and battle cruisers! been on order for a while 1 200 US Fletcher i know Bismarck and in German but lots of photos I don't have, plus I can use Google translate never knew Tamiya did...- BattleshipBob
