Thanks Pete, appreciated So to do something different I started on the ships boats, Admirals run about, two to make room for improvement, finding using lock tite gel to be very good. i have on order the Bunker 3 D AA guns as the tamiya ones are poor to put it mildly! New to me.- BattleshipBob

Onwards with the joys of PE a big difference between tirpitz and bismarck was a structure between the bridge and the conning tower. Took some bending, just a test fit not bad with room for improvement, but pleased with progress Bob- BattleshipBob

Thank you Brian, appreciated Been cutting off stuff on the two rear superstructure platforms. Before and after also added pe hatches,, need to think ( dangerous) what's next? Need to alter the wood deck for the top section and add railings etc. So add railings then primer and paint then...- BattleshipBob

Roof boat cradles done phew. Used the excellent dspiae clamp to hold the body, then used tweezers and a looper. Best method i found as long as you counted to 20!!- BattleshipBob

Now playing with the main plane hanger, cut of all the various boat cradles and supports, also moulded on hanger door. Started to fit the pe cradles. Not yet added the front ones, bit of experimenting. The first two have used pva to hold the middle connection, then used a looper to wick pe. The...- BattleshipBob

Right, finally after a lot of playing with pe, using resin and a UV light, pva and then various tyres and makes of ca, applied with metal bar, cocktail sticks and loopers. Thanks Steve, afternoon Paul, kind of you! Books for research got the superb 5 vol set on Tirpitz, packed with photos by the hundreds plus excellent colour schemes. Wish books like this were done on the Hood etc was going to leave the numerous seams on the bum but what the hell made a start...- BattleshipBob
