    Airfix Cromwell 1/76

Good grief! It's been nearly two weeks since I started this one. Thanks for all your comments, I've been unreasonably busy so haven't been able to get any bench time but finally managed to make bit of progress at last. The stowage and figures are just placed at the moment.

    Airfix Cromwell 1/76

Evening all. I seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment - this is my third build in a month! Anyway I'm having a bit of fun with this one. I've opened up the loader's hatch, added padding to the inside of the hatches, removed the front mudguards and added an exhaust cowl. I also replaced the...

Airfix Standard Tilly 1/72 - a (very) little bit of fun.

Hi all. I had this left over after building the Bedford MWD a few months ago so I thought it was about time I built it. Being an infanteer, I couldn't bring myself to depict an RAF variant as per the instructions so I've finished it as a vehicle belonging to 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards of...

    Italeri 1/72 Matilda

Hi all. Finished this one this morning. I didn't do a build log as it lurched from one diaster to another! As a result it's taken nearly three weeks. First of all it needed a lot of filing and fettling to make it fit together at all. Then I had to pull it apart because I'd forgotten to put the...

Officer of the 95th - a 75mm sculpt by Moz Corry

Morning all. I reckon this chap's done now though he needs a decent plinth. I'll probably add some grass to the groundwork too. He's mostly painted with acrylics - the jacket and pelisse are a mix of Vallejo 970 deep green mixed with varying amounts of black which gives a good Rifle Green. I...

Officer of the 95th - a 75mm sculpt by Moz Corry

Getting there! Did his face last night. I used enamels for this as they're easier to blend, the rest of him is done in acrylics apart from the leather reinforcement on his trousers. Just his hands and the base to go now.

Officer of the 95th - a 75mm sculpt by Moz Corry

I was out all day yesterday driving a safety vehicle for the the Weymouth Ironman (lunatics the lot of 'em) so didn't really get any painting done. However I wasn't happy with the green trousers so re-did them grey last night. I think the contrast is much better. They need shading yet, then it's...

Officer of the 95th - a 75mm sculpt by Moz Corry

This one is coming along a lot quicker than I expected, not far off being finished. Though as always I have been putting off the bit I dread - the face. I can't delay the inevitable for ever so I'd better man up and crack on!

Officer of the 95th - a 75mm sculpt by Moz Corry

Hi all. Made a start last night then had a half day today so cracked on. Base colours are done and started shading and highlighting the jacket and pelisse. I'm still in two minds about painting the overalls green though, I might yet change them to grey. And the leather reinforcement will be...

Officer of the 95th - a 75mm sculpt by Moz Corry

More progress! Undercoated and ready for the off. The arms of the pelisse are just blu-tacked so I can paint the detail underneath. Sword knot was made from wine bottle foil and miliput.

Officer of the 95th - a 75mm sculpt by Moz Corry

Evening all, bit of progress. He's no longer in pieces, unlike me. We had a mid-week leaving do last night and I'm feeling decidedly shabby. I just need to attach the scabbard and slings and he's ready for undercoat, however I'm ready for bed. More progress tomorrow.

Officer of the 95th - a 75mm sculpt by Moz Corry

This is my next project - an officer of the 95th in the Peninsular - a 75mm sculpt by Moz Corry. There was a bit of cleaning up to do, mostly mould seams and there were a couple of air bubbles needed filling. Oh and the sword and scabbard were somewhat warped. I was going to make a start...

    Revell/Matchbox Morris C8 and 17 Pdr

Finished! Managed to source some 43 Div Wyverns. I may still add Battery tac signs, cam nets and various bits of stowage but that'll have to wait as I'm off to Okehampton for a fortnight. FML! Anyway, Morris C8 and 17 Pdr of 59th Anti-Tank Regt RA, 43rd Wessex Division, outside a slightly broken...

    Revell/Matchbox Morris C8 and 17 Pdr

Thanks Steve! Nearly done on this one now. I went for a camo pattern on the tilt in the end as it breaks up the monotonous overall drab. Decals are on bar the divisional sign. I thought I had some spare 43rd Wessex Div ones but I'd used them on another build. I need to source some now! I'll...

    Revell/Matchbox Morris C8 and 17 Pdr

That's really good Richard! Bit more progress on this. The Morris is done apart from decals and weathering though I might still give it a camo scheme, probably just on the canvas. Here it is with and without the tilt:

    Revell/Matchbox Morris C8 and 17 Pdr

Morning all. This is my next build, the 1/76 scale Morris C8 and 17 Pdr from Revell. Another trip down memory lane, I think I last built it when I was about 14. A loooong time ago! I built the jeep a while back but the rest of the kit has been kicking about on the shelf of doom for ages. And...

What I done before... various Napoleonics.

Morning all. It's been a busy few months and I haven't had any bench time since about April. So l painted this wee chap during the shite weather last week. Got me back into the groove again! Drummer 13th (Somerset) Regt of Foot circa 1812. The 13th had filemot yellow facings - dead leaf colour...

A couple more Napoleonic figures - a bit bigger this time!

The next is a 54mm Sergeant of the 5th/60th Rifles from Chronos I think. I gave him a tache to make him look a bit more German but that's it.

A couple more Napoleonic figures - a bit bigger this time!

Hi all. Here are a couple more of my figures that were lost in the sinking of Milmod. The first is a 75mm Colour Sergeant of the Grenadier Company 28th Foot from FeR Miniatures. I made a couple of alterations from the original, mostly to correct inaccuracies. This involved removing extra lace...
